Meet STO Alejandra Coyoy!
Alejandra is a junior at Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts; Troupe 6849! She is her school's treasurer and is very proud of all her peers for working so amazingly hard. She loves singing, acting, and dancing like nobody's watching, and her favorite quarantine activity has been watching new shows and old movies. She loves watching all types of shows and movies so if you have any suggestions let her know! Her goal as an STO this year is to spread inclusivity and love, and she is also excited to get to know all the thespians so much more. Alejandra is incredibly happy to be on the board this year, and is glad to be one of your 2020-2021 STOs!
Questions From Thespians:
What is your favorite memory from middle school?
Thanks for asking! My favorite memory from middle school has to be 2018 State
because it's what drove me to continue theatre. I also absolutely adore all of the
shows!
How many shows have you been in?
I have been in eleven shows!
What is your favorite dish to cook?
My favorite dishes to cook are Migas and some good mac'n'cheese or even
fettuccine Alfredo!
What do you do to keep busy during quarantine? Something that I've been doing during quarantine has been binge-watching a bunch of
shows and movies. In general, I've been doing school and homework and all that. I've
also been working on some projects, so you guys might see some things from me soon!
What is your favorite show that you've ever been a part of?
I think that every show that I've been in was so unique and different that they are each
so amazing! My personal favorite has to be Opening Number 2019 because it was
super cool how a bunch of students from different schools came together to put on a
big production.
Why do you caption your videos?
We really wanted to make this experience as accessible as possible to everyone. If you
ever have any comments, questions, or ideas, let us know! The mastermind behind this
is STO Cloe Madison, so shoutout to her for captioning!
Milk or cereal first?
Hands-down milk. I've always been taught to put milk first. Sorry, but cereal first just
feels wrong!
What is your favorite Individual Event?
My favorite IE's are solo musicals and monologues. I love doing two contrasting
monologues, and I love musical theatre in general. It's super fun!
What is the best thing about being an STO?
The best thing about being an STO is getting to know all of these amazing thespians
and people. I absolutely love talking to you all, and if you want to message me directly
you can always do that! Hopefully we will be able to meet one day!
What have been some of your favorite roles?
Allie in Opening Number 2019 was a lot of fun, and so was the Guardian of the Gates. I
also got to be a Newsie, and both The Tempest and Agnosthesia are virtual productions
coming soon!
